Recipe Ingredients

Mutton1 kg
White turnip ½ kg
Mince ½ kg
Yogurt 1 cup
Oil 1 cup
Tomatoes 3
Onion chopped 3
Lemon 3
Green chilies 4
Carrot 4
Coriander leaves chopped few leaves
Turmeric 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Chili powder 1 tbsp
Roasted gram 1 tbsp
All spice 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Coriander powder 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

Recipe Method

Peel ½ kg turnip and 4 carrots. Now cut each into 4 pieces.
In a pan put together 1 cup oil, 1 kg mutton, 3 chopped onion, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp chili powder, 2 tbsp coriander powder and 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste with water as required. Cover and cook over low flame till meat is tender. Turn the flame off.
Grind together 1 tbsp roasted gram and 1 tsp cumin seeds. Mix the ground mixture in mince. Also add in 1 tsp all spice and mix well. make into small balls and fry in oil.
Also fry carrot and turnip slices.
In the mutton mixture 1 cup yogurt, 1 tsp sugar and 3 chopped tomatoes. Fry well. Now add fried vegetables and mince balls with 3 to 4 cups of hot water. Cover cook till oil comes on top.
Lastly add green spices, 1 tsp all spice, juice of 3 lemons and simmer till done. Serve hot with naan.
