Dehlvi Biryani Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

3 cups Rice
2 onion cooked
300 grams Yogurt
500 grams Chicken
3 tbsps Ginger garlic Paste
3 Tomato
1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder
1/2 cup Coriander leaves
2 tsps Garam Masala Powder
1/2 cup Mint leaves
as required kewra Essence
3 tsps Red chili powder
1/2 tbsp Cumin Powder
to taste Salt
as required Food Color (yellow + orange)
1 cup Clarified butter

Recipe Method

Heat oil in a deep bottom pan add ginger garlic paste.
Add chicken and cook it for 3 minutes.
Add yogurt, turmeric powder, cardamom, salt, tomato, coriander leaves, mint leaves, red chili powder, garam masala, and cumin powder.
Cook for 10 minutes
Add cooked onion and food color.
In a separate deep bottom pan add bay leaves, cloves, salt in water. Boil the rice and drain them.
First spread rice over the same rice pan then spread chicken mixture and again covered it with rice.
In the last add kewra essence, 3 tbsp of hot clarified butter over the rice
Cover it with the lid and cook for 10 minutes on low heat
Serve hot with raita
