INGREDIENTS
250 gms refined flour
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Crushed black pepper to taste
½ tsp carom seed powder
½ tsp fennel powder
125 gms butter
1 tsp baking powder
To serve
Jal Jeera drink as required
PROCESS
In a bowl add refined flour, roasted cumin seeds, salt, crushed black pepper, carom seed powder, fennel powder, butter, baking powder and water and knead to make a dough.
Take small portions of the dough and place them on a baking dish.
Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius and bake the cookies for 15-17 mins at 180 degree Celsius. Once baked, remove from the oven.
Place shot glasses filled with jal jeera drink on a plate and keep the mathri cookies on top of the glasses and serve.
