CHICKEN NIHARI.



Ingredients
1 -Pak Shan Nihari Spice Mix
8-10 pieces almost 3 lb
1/2 cup- oil
1- large onion , finely chopped
salt to taste
1 tbsp- ginger paste
1 tbsp- garlic paste
8-10 cups-water or as needed
1/2 cup- whole wheat flour
for garnishing
julienned ginger
lemon slices
fresh chopped coriander
chopped green chillies
Method
Heat your oil in a deep pan. Add the ginger and garlic pastes and stir until aromatic. Next, add the chicken and stir-fry on medium high heat for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle the 3/4 Pak of Nihari masala and stir well. Next, add the water and salt, give everything a stir and lower the heat. Cover the pot and allow to cook on VERY LOW gentle heat for half an hour.
In a bowl add whole wheat flour with some water gradually mixing to form a light paste with no lumps.
Add this paste slightly to NIHARI to make a thick gravy, cook 10-15 mins.
Now take a pan add 2 tbsp of oil with chopped onion. When the oil cause the onions to turn golden brown add 1/4 left over Shan NIHARI masala for a min. Combine it in NIHARI and cover the lid for few mins. Garnish with lemon slice, green coriander, green, chili and ginger slice. Serve with Naan & Enjoy!
