Karahi Gosht



Ingredients
1 kg of mutton (lamb) pieces
2 medium onions, finely chopped
3 large tomato, diced
5 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup of fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1/4 Tsp turmeric
2-inch piece of fresh ginger, finely chopped
2 fresh chilies, finely chopped
1 ground clove
1 stick ground cinnamon
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. garam masala powder
1 tsp. ground coriander
Salt to taste
1/4 cup cooking oil
water if required
Method
Set a pot Karahi on medium heat, add the cooking oil and sauté the chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and turmeric until golden brown and fragrant. Add cumin, cinnamon, ground coriander, cloves, and chilies. Stir until spices are fried and well mixed. Add the mutton pieces and stir until the spices cover the meat. Add the tomatoes cover the pot, and lower the heat to simmer for about 45 minutes until the mutton is cooked.
When the meat is tender, add the chopped cilantro, ginger , green chili and mix well. Sprinkle some gram masala & serve . Enjoy!
