Basbousa


Ingredients
1 cup Semolina
3 cup coconut
3/4 cup all purpose fine flour
5 tablespoon oil
4 tablespoon Yogurt
2 tablespoon Baking powder
3/4 tablespoon Vanilla essence
Milk as required
Ingredients for sugar syrup
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
Few drops of lemon
Method
Mix all ingredients and make dough with mix milk with it. The dough should be a little hard.
Then make sugar syrup by boiling ingredients for 5-7 mins and set aside for cooling.
Then take a tray and grease with ghee and add the material
Then in preheated oven put tray on to rack for 10-15 mins until it raises.
Then switch to broiler setting to make golden brown. Take out the tray and evenly pour syrup on to dish. Garnish with coconut or almonds. Let it cool for an hour it so. Cut into the size and shape of your choice. Serve at room temperature. Have with tea or as a quick snack. Enjoy!!!
