Dum Bhurji Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

Egg 4 (boiled)
Oil ¼ cup
Potato ½ kg (cut into cubes)
Onion 1 (chopped)
Chili powder ½ tsp
Turmeric ½ tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Red pepper 1 tsp (crushed)
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Fennel seeds 1 tsp (crushed)
Garlic clove 3 – 4 (chopped)
Ginger 1 piece (chopped)
Green chili 2 (chopped)
Black cardamom 2 – 3
Cinnamon sticks 2
Cloves 4 – 5
Salt to taste
Tomatoes 2 (boiled, chopped)
Water 1 - 1 ½ cup
Cauliflower ¼ piece
Peas ½ cup (boiled)
Coriander leaves ¼ bunch (chopped)

Recipe Method

Heat oil in a wok, add in boiled eggs and fry till golden brown.
In the remaining oil add potatoes. Fry till golden brown.
Now turn the flame low, add onion, chili powder, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, red pepper, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, garlic, ginger, green chilies, black cardamoms, cinnamon sticks, cloves and salt.
Fry for 2 - 4 minutes
Now add tomatoes and cook till they are softened.
Add in 1 – 1 ½ cup water, cover and cook till potatoes are tender.
In another pan boil cauliflower with a little water, cook for few minutes.
Now add boiled cauliflower with peas.
Mix well on high flame.
Finally add boiled egg and coriander.
Dish it out and serve.
