Fish Curry Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

Fish fillet 200 gm
Onion 1
Tomato 2
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Red chilli ½ tsp (crushed)
Turmeric ½ tsp
All spice powder ½ tsp
Cumin (whole) ½ tsp
Chickpeas (full black grams) 10 gm
Poppy seeds 10 gm
Dry fenugreek leaves a little bit
Coriander as required
Salt to taste
Oil as required

Recipe Method

First of all fry the fish.
Heat oil in a pan, add onions and fry till golden.
When the onions become golden, add water and tomatoes.
Grind chickpeas and poppy seeds with little water, add to the pan.
Add ground red chilli, all spice, crushed red chilli and dry fenugreek.
Add water, salt and cook till gravy thickens.
Add coriander powder and whole cumin.
Cook for a while.
Now add fried fish to it, cover and cook on very low heat for 5 - 10 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves, lemon and ginger slices to serve it.
Tips: If little coffee is sprinkled on fish before putting it in fridge, the bad smell of fish will not penetrate other things in fridge.
