Falafel



Ingredients
300 g Chickpea-soaked-over night
1 medium Onion-finely chopped
4-5 Garlic Cloves-finely chopped
1/4 cup Fresh Coriander leaves-chopped
1/4 cup Fresh Parsley leaves-chopped
1 tsp red Chili powder/flakes-optional
2 tsp Coriander powder/ crushed
2 tsp Cumin powder/crushed
1/4 tsp Baking soda
Salt to taste
2 tsp Black pepper
1-2tbs Sesame seed
1-2 bread slice-for binding
Oil for deep frying

Method
Wash and drain chickpeas, then grind/crush in meat grinder/chopper along with onion, garlic, parsley, bread slice, coriander, baking soda & spices, then add in sesame seeds and mix well.
(Add 1/8 cup of water during grinding/crushing if needed)
Once all combined keep it in refrigerator for 25-30 minutes.
Make walnut sized balls out of this mixture(cylindrical/oval/round) and deep fry/shallow fry in oil on medium heat till nice golden in color.
Once fried put them on kitchen towel to absorb all the excess oil.
Serve with hummus/Tahini Sauce/garlic sauce and Khubz/Pita bread/as it is.
