Ingredients
Bottle Gourd 1 ½ kg
Khoya 250 g
Sugar 1 bowl
Desiccated Coconut 1 pkt
Small Cardamoms 4
Almonds (Boiled) 10
Pistachios (Boiled, chopped) 10
Sugar 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Method
Peel and grate 1 ½ kg bottle gourd, transfer to a dish and squeeze all the water out from it, making sure it is completely dry.
In a wok, heat 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp sugar and 4 small cardamoms. Also add the dried bottle gourd and mix everything together. Remove from heat.
Then add 1 bowl sugar to ½ cup of water, making a sugar syrup and add to the bottle gourd.
After 5 minutes take the bottle gourd out in a serving dish and sprinkle with 250 g khoya, 1 packet desiccated coconut, 10 boiled almonds, and 10 boiled and chopped pistachios.
