Dry Split Masoor Daal with Methi



Ingredients
1/2cup fresh Methi/Fenugreek leaves (or 1/4cup dry fenugreek leaves)
1 1/4 cup Split red Lentils ( Masoor dal-soaked for at-least half an hour)
1 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tbs ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp dry roasted cumin seed (crushed)
1 tsp dry roasted coriander seed( crushed)
1/4 cup oil
Method
Heat oil in a pan add ginger-garlic paste n sauté, add methi( fenugreek leaves/I used 1/4 cup dry leaves/ washed n drained) stir continually until oil separates, add spices
(salt, red chili, turmeric) n mix well, add daal to it mix well to all combined, cover n let it cook on medium to low heat for about 5-7minutes or until tender(don't add water)
Once cooked add crushed cumin-coriander to it n mix well.
Yummyyy Daal is ready.
Serve hot with fresh salad, roti, or pita bread.
