Ingredients
Chana daal 200 gm boiled
Rice boiled ½ kg with 2 tbsp salt
Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
Oil ½ cup
Yogurt 1 ½ cup
Chili powder 2 tsp
Brown onion 1 cup
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Salt 1 ½ tsp
Chili powder 1 ½ tsp
Cinnamon 2 inch piece
Cloves 4
Black cardamom 2
Green chilies chopped 3
Coriander leaves chopped 4 tbsp
Black cumin ½ tsp
Method
Boil daal until just tender, keep aside, heat oil in a pan add boiled daal, fry for 2-3 minutes, add ginger garlic paste, whole spices, salt, chili powder, yogurt whipped, fry for 15 minutes, add brown onion and chopped hara masala, boil rice with black cumin till ¾ done, in another pan put half boiled rice, cook daal mixture, top with remaining rice, remaining brown onion, and keep it on dum for 15 minutes, mix and serve hot.
