Recipe Ingredients
6 garlic
22 Ginger
5 green chillies
1 cup split red lentil
1 tsp chilli powder
3 tbsps oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
1 cup finely chopped spinach
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
Recipe Method
Combine dal with 2 cups of water in microwave safe bowl and microwave on high till done. Keep aside.
Add 1 tsp oil in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Add chilli powder, mix well and keep chilli oil mixture aside.
Add remaining 3 tsp oil in a another microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Add cumin seeds and microwave on high for 20 seconds.
Add onions, mix well and microwave on high for a minute. Keep aside.
Add cooked dal, spinach, tomatoes, turmeric powder, prepared paste, chilli-oil mixture, salt and 1 cup of water, mix well and microwave on high for 11 minutes.
Add lemon juice and mix well.
Serve with rice.
