Recipe Ingredients
3 cups field beans
1 pound ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder
2 chopped onions large
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsps sugar
4 tbsps oil
2 cups coconut milk
to taste salt
Recipe Method
Heat oil in large pan and add onions and ginger garlic paste.
When onions turn translucent, add garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, sugar, salt and tomatoes.
When oil comes up, add dal and 2 cups of water and allow to cook on a low flame till dal is done.
Add coconut milk, mix and bring to a boil.
Serve hot with steamed rice
