Recipe Ingredients
2 ½ cups flour
1 tsp cornflour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
1 can (14oz) condensed milk
1 cup water
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp vanilla essence
½ cup melted butter
Recipe Method
Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Mix in the sugar. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and stir in the wet ingredients one by one. Stir the mixture together using a whisk.
Pour the batter in a greased and lined pan and tap the pan to even it out and break the air bubbles if any. Bake it for 25 minutes at 180 degrees C.
Cool on a wire rack.
Freshly squeezed orange juice and grated orange zest can be used instead of water.
