Recipe Ingredients
250 grams black eyed peas
2 onion (chopped)
1 tbsp ginger chopped
1 tbsp Garlic chopped cloves
2 Green chili (chopped)
1 tbsp coriander
1 tsp Turmeric
to taste Salt
3 tbsps yogurt
5 cups water
1 tsp Coriander leaves
5 tbsps oil
4 tomatoes chopped
1 tsp Cumin (seeds)
Recipe Method
Drain to soaked beans
Heat oil, add cumin seeds, ad masalas. Stirring continuously fry until color turns golden brown. Sprinkle little water if the mixture begins to stick to the bottom of the pan
Fry until oil separates
Add coriander, turmeric and salt. Now add 1tsp yogurt and fry until oil separates from the mixture
Add black eyed peas. Mix well and pour water. Cover and simmer over low heat until beans tender
Sprinkle coriander leaves before serving
