Recipe Ingredients
1 cup split black lentils
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 cloves
1/2 cup split Bengal gram
1 onion, sliced
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
3 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
1 cinnamon
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsps ghee
1/2 tbsp green chillies, finely chopped
to taste salt
Recipe Method
Wash dals together. In a pressure cooker add dals, turmeric powder, salt and 3 cups of water until the dal is cooked.
Heat ghee in a pan, add onion, cloves, cinnamon and red chillies and saute’ till onion turns golden brown.
Add ginger garlic paste, green chillies and chilli powder and sauté for 2 minutes.
Add this to dal and boil for 5 minutes.
Garnish with ginger sliced
Serve hot
