Recipe Ingredients
Chicken ½ kg (boneless, cubed)
For Marinade:
Yogurt 2 tbsp
Tomato puree 2 tbsp
Onion 1 (small, chopped)
Garlic cloves 3 (crushed)
Tamarind paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Cumin ½ tsp (ground)
Nutmeg 1 pinch
For Cucumber Raita:
Cucumber 1 small
Spring onion 1 (chopped)
Yogurt 1 cup
Salt and pepper to taste
Recipe Method
For Marinade: Mix yogurt, tomato puree, onion, garlic, tamarind paste, red chili powder, ginger paste, salt, nutmeg and cumin.
Toss chicken cubes in the marinade and refrigerate overnight or for a few hours in fridge.
Thread chicken into soaked bamboo skewers or metal skewers and grill under a hot oven or on a grill pan from all sides till done.
Serve on skewers with cucumber raita.
For Cucumber Raita: Peel a cucumber and grate coarsely.
Put in a sieve and let drain out excess water and then add spring onion, yogurt, salt and pepper.
Chill before serving.
